We are located in Art Central, Calgary’s new premier arts complex! INFLUX is host to an eclectic collection of contemporary art jewellery and wearable art made and designed by over 30 local, national and international artists, with special attention on Canadian work. At INFLUX visitors will find items such as Rings, Necklaces, Pendants, Earrings, Bracelets, Brooches, Scarves and Handbags in materials ranging from precious metals and gemstones to rubber, handmade felt, steel, plastic, ceramic, glass, found objects and wood.

A working studio space inside the gallery provides visitors with the opportunity to learn more about how artworks are produced through in-house demonstrations. INFLUX will host gallery artists in public talks and demonstrations about their work. Visitors can learn about the artists, what fuels their work and have an opportunity to meet them. Available at the gallery, visitors will also find art jewellery publications and learning materials that will inform them more on this genre of contemporary art and how it contributes to building cultural history.

INFLUX Jewellery Gallery is co-founded by a group of four artists who live and work in the Calgary area. Three of the four, Devon Clark, Kari Woo and Shona Rae, are established jewellery designers and makers. The fourth partner, Herb Sawatzky, is a fine furniture designer and has designed and constructed INFLUX’s interior. It is a jewel in it’s own right! With a common vision, they have set forth to establish a gallery that is the first of its kind in the region. INFLUX is an interactive environment for the exchange of ideas between the artists, and visitors to the gallery. Please visit us and wear some art!
