Artist’s Statement
Drawing my influences largely from architectural forms, human dwellings and natural habitats, I am inspired by notions of space – whether they are public or private, interior or exterior. The contrast of elements such as rough and smooth, dark and light, geometric and organic also inform and influence my creative process as I aim at creating simple forms with much depth. My designs are often reversible or multi-functional, offering the viewer and/or wearer many perspectives on their wearable sculpture.
