Artist’s Statement
My jewellery is influenced by the natural world and has been described as “small intricate sculpture”. With an idea in mind I Iove to sit down with a lump of wax and pursue the design through all the required steps and phases to an end result. It can be an agonizing challenge or a streamlined delight but the process is always a wonderful journey. I am not afraid to push a piece to the limit and it often takes on a life of its own, dictating the direction and look of the final outcome. I take great pleasure in using the techniques and skills that I’ve practiced and developed over the years and have a passion for learning, growing, teaching and striving for personal perfection.
