Artist’s Statement
Danielle Crampsie uses jewellery as a social indicator to communicate ideas relevant to society today. Her pieces explore the symbols and values of contemporary culture. Using jewellery as a means of communication, she gives the wearer a voice and thus a starting point to establish a relationship with the viewer. Her pieces act as an interface between us and technology, drawing on traditions of the past to record the history of today.

Biography
Danielle Crampsie began studying jewellery at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1998. In 2004 she returned to George Brown College to improve her technical skills and graduated from the jewellery method program with honors. Danielle currently applies her artistic background and technical knowledge to create innovative pieces of art. Most recently Danielle has been published in Lark Book: 500 Earrings; Jewellery Business Magazine and was honored to receive the 2007 Niche Award in the category Jewellery: Silver.
