Artist’s Statement
I am a designer and builder of wares to adorn the body.  My neurotic nature is lured towards the rigorous process necessary to create objects that require such particular consideration.

I’m stimulated by both the natural and mechanical world around me.   (And my guilty pleasure – the pages of Vogue Magazine).  I create jewellery that is substantial in size.  My work is aggressive, solid and confident but still remains feminine and delicate.  It is because of this, that its wear-ability is subjective to the comfort zone of the wearer.

Part of the challenge of creating large work is keeping it comfortable.  Form and function are important concepts considered.  Various techniques are implied to create the illusion of mass and weight, allowing the work to remain light and comfortable.  I like to work in series, exploring and pushing the idea of a form in many different directions.
